The Ball & Sack Club started with a simple argument at a neighborhood party.  Several of the founding members got into a debate over whether a $600 bottle of bourbon would truly outperform a $50 bottle if nobody knew what they were drinking.

The question was simple:

Could people really taste the difference — or were they being influenced by the label, the reputation, and the price tag?

At that moment, the challenge was on. The following November, everyone met at a neighbor’s house. Each person brought a bottle of bourbon. Every label was covered so nobody knew what they were drinking. The group tasted each bourbon blind, voted honestly, and judged the winner by flavor alone.

No labels.

No hype.

No price bias.

Just the pour.

And that is how The Ball & Sack Club was born — a tongue-in-cheek blind bourbon tasting group built around the ice ball, the sack-covered bottle, and the simple belief that bourbon should win on taste, not marketing. 🥃

The brotherhood meets monthly to celebrate bourbon and friendship.
